Debbie
Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Debbie and Dr. Cowan are married and they have 3 wonderful children. She has been involved in dentistry for many years -- since 1991.
Beginning in sales before moving to assisting, Debbie was instrumental in starting up our office -- utilizing her vast experience. She currently serves as office manager.
In her spare time Debbie likes to travel, catch up on reading and watching football games. Debbie comes from a big family so her family members can always be found nearby.

Dan
Born in Houston, Texas and raised in Toledo, Ohio -- Dan came to the Tampa area in 2005. He's been active in the field of dentistry support since 2001.
Dan feels his biggest pleasure comes from helping patients improve their smiles -- thus helping improve their self esteem and confidence. He likes the fact of how dentistry is always changing -- offering him a challenge -- with new techniques, materials and trends in cosmetic dental care.
"I like working for Dr. Cowan because he's just the best at what he does" replied Dan when asked about his job. He further went on to say, "Dr. Cowan is very dedicated to staying up to date ...I also enjoy traveling with him to attend all the continuing education courses around the country."
Dan's interests and hobbies include travel, going to the beach on weekends and exploring Tampa's nightlife and restaurants with friends. Movies and amusement parks are high on his list of adventures as well as visiting his family back in Ohio.

Charlotte
Born in Sylacauga, Alabama she has lived in Tampa, FL since she was 3 years old. Since becoming involved in dentistry in 2006, Charlotte is constantly aware of how good dental health promotes a healthy self image too.
"Just having a brighter smile gives people self confidence and inspires them to take care of their teeth" she says.
Charlotte also remarked, "I've always wondered what the perfect dentist would be like ...now I know ...Dr. Cowan, our hygienist and all the staff here treat patients with respect and genuine concern for their well being."
In her free time Charlotte enjoys church, traveling, reading and the company of family.

Lela
Another one of our extraordinary dental hygienists, Lela has played a major role at Dr. Cowan's practice since 2006. Born in Zephyrhills, Florida, she has been a long time resident of the Tampa area for over 37 years.
Lela has been employed in the dentistry profession since 1990, working 10 years as a dental assistant and the last 8 years as a hygienist. When asked what she likes about dentistry, she resolutely says, "everything -- especially helping patients here at Dr. Cowan's practice."
Trained as a dental hygienist at Pasco-Hernando College, Lela is kept busy with her two children, crafts and her passion for mountain biking.

Melissa
Born and raised in Grove City, Ohio, Melissa is the most recent addition to our staff. Having been a dental assistant since 2007, she came to work with Dr. Cowan's office in 2008.
Melissa likes working in dentistry because she gets to see and hear first hand how helping to enhance someone's smile actually makes a difference in their life -- and makes her job a worthwhile experience.
She says, "The friendly faces and warm welcomes -- along with the caring, upbeat and family oriented staff here make our patients and our office more enjoyable to me."
When she's not assisting patients, Melissa spends a lot of her time volunteering at the Life Center Church where she sings, plays keyboard and writes songs. She feels that giving back to the community is her life's highest priority.
Melissa also enjoys reading books, playing beach volleyball, spending time with friends and family and shopping.
